VNW is a web-based platform where you can read, rate, and discuss visual novels. Add novels to collections, check the collections of others, follow your favorite visual novel producers or people with similar taste to discover more novels.
Write novels yourself and easily publish them to an eager audience. No need for a developer. All you need is a good idea.
Post your music or art to be used in visual novels, and get paid for it!
VNW will be a platform where people can do the following:
My favorite way to describe it is: imagine what YouTube does for videos, or what Netflix does for movies, or what Steam does for games, or what Spotify does for music; VNW will do that for visual novels.

Visual novels are enjoyed by millions of people, indicated by big hitters in the medium having millions of sales. On reddit alone, there's almost 600k people rallied on the r/visualnovels forum. On VNDB there's almost another 300k actively searching, rating, reviewing, and discussing visual novels.
Consumers will be able to more efficiently browse, rate, review, discuss, consume, and organize their favorite visual novels on Visual Novel World.
Would you like to stay updated on the project?
In the lead up to the project, we are focusing on acquiring funding and partnerships. The target is to raise 70k€ and have a reliable network of partners and industry experts to add to our credentials upon the start of development.
We hope to spend no more than two months on this phase, but to put an exact deadline on phase 0 will follow after data on the results - or the lack there of - gives a clearer view of the situation.
Viral novels sell multiple millions, social platforms house up to a million active community members, studies estimate the value of the market to be around €500.000.000, there are about 58.000 novels by about 26.000 producers documented.
Widely distributed visual novels include, but are not limited to Doki Doki Literature Club, Clannad, Fate, Steins;gate, Hatoful Boyfriend, Dream Daddy. All of these novels together have generated many millions in revenue together.
According to our calculations we could potentially get 600 new creators on the platform every year. Every creator brings on average 11 digitally socially active consumers with them. That's a total of 7.200 high value users per year. This is not including already established creators, artists, musicians, and consumers. If we're considering the established base within the medium, there are millions of consumers who could possibly join the platform, and tens of thousands of creators.
If we successfully achieve all the goals we set out to achieve; anywhere from €1.000.000 to €10.000.000 of yearly profit. Consult the full dossier for the full calculations a rationale.
€50k This will be directly spent on development. All 50.000 euros will cover the cost of the year-long development cycle. This amount assumes one full time developer on the project all year.
€20k This will be spent on the outreach program. It will cover the cash prizes of competitions and the costs of attending events and conventions.
